Never use the extracted wads from tr1,2,3 or 5 levels in trwest! This will corrupt the sounds cause trwest wasn't created to hadle tr3 sounds! Some objects will use the tr3 sounds, but these are differend. The door sound from tr3 is the butler in tr3. These wads are compatible with wadmerger so use that program to use the objects. Then you can use the 3d window to see what objects are in the slots, cause the names are all wrong.
If you have the original tr levels then don't use tr2wad. Then you should copy the objects directly from these levels using wadmerger. Only use this program to extract wads and send them to people who don't have the levels.



Sound Samples

When saving the a wad from TR2/3, a dialog will ask you to load main.sfx. This file is on the cd in the data directory. Load it and all sound samples will be extracted and placed in a new directory names xxxx-Sounds (xxxx is the name of your wad). For TR1 levels, the same happens, only you don't see the dialog for main.sfx cause the samples are stored inside the level file.

If you put more TR1/2/3 wads on your site, you can place all sounds in 1 directory and upload them in a new zip file. To use them, copy them to sound/samples in the trle folder. All sounds will take about 10MB unzipped. You better don't include the sounds in each wad cause then the size of a wad will be around 4 or 5 MB.
